I like to hear what others think and to exchange ideas. On this page, I'll share some of the email comments I've received.

Jill from Doncaster is looking for a recipe for mint chutney. She says:

"Have you a recipe for a mint chutney. I used to buy one years ago. Whoever made it stopped production and I loved it but I've never seen a recipe for a pickle/chutney with mint."

I've got recipes for mint sauces and jellies but I've never seen one for mint chutney either. This then, is the launch of a nationwide search. If you have a recipe, let me know and between us lets try to make Jill happy.

Georg, a well respected colleague, philosopher and friend says:

Everyone needs a hinterland to get away from less riveting work and it looks
you have one. I can't remember the guy - Monty something - who recently did
a TV programme using CS workers to work on the land and grow their own food.
Not advocating you follow suit, but you can see how working the land with a
commitment to producing quality crops whilst respecting the environment, can
only be sustenance for the soul. Wishing you an abundant summer, Georg.

Well of course he's absolutely right. It doesn't really matter what it is , but we all need something to refresh us from the mundane and inspire us to achieve something truely meaningful. Georg is a free spirit and finds something akin to nirvana on an intellectual plane. I just dig and grow stuff but in the end we have a meeting of minds on some kind of spiritual level. Mind you, a few pints helps...
